We are excited as we will be welcoming some “Sewing Rock Stars” to the area - Janine Babich of Janine Babich Designs, award winning quilter Sue Nickels, and Tammy Silvers of Tamarinis by Tammy Silvers. We are also finalizing plans for the 2022 event, so stay tuned for more information about that. We can tell you that we have two of our 2022 guests already booked. We are looking forward to having Krista Moser of The Quilted Life and Sue O’Very of Sookie Sews join us!! We are also thrilled to tell you that both of these ladies will also be making additional visits to the Ridge for classes and workshops.
We are excited to watch Elisa’s classes continue to grow! This month you can join her for the Bodice Fitting and Factory Construction Techniques and Garment Construction Basics. These classes will fill up quickly. Elisa and Rhoda continue with the Serger Club sessions. Join the ladies to make the Rolled Hem Wrap in time for the Fall weather. You will learn all about the technique of rolled hem stitches and so many more project options. This is right in time for Christmas gift ideas. Students are loving the projects and learning more and more about their sergers.
Please check out the information about the new Serger Club Membership we are offering for 2022. We welcome all Bernina Serger model owners, past and present to join. Dust off those old, neglected machines and come to our club. The club will take place every month and feature a project that demonstrates specialty feet and or technique. You will be amazed at how much you can do with your serger and look at it as a fundamental machine in your sewing room. Only 2 seats left!!!! Ellen is offering some great quilting classes for all of you machine quilters! As always, we continue our training for rental time on our wonderful BERNINA Q Series Longarm quilting machines. Check out the details of training and renting time. There are also options for machine quilting on the domestic machines. Let Ellen guide you through the best way of using your BERNINA Stitch Regulator. This is such a fantastic tool! Learn all the functions and features in this ½ day class. Our next sessions are scheduled to be held November 18th, both a morning and afternoon session. Ellen will also be offering a new “Rulerwork Class” This is a great opportunity to learn the FUN-DAMENTALS of free motion quilting with rulers. Carol, our resident BAG Lady continues to find new and awesome bag patterns. The “Tools of the Trade bag is perfect for the sewist carrying their supplies to and from class. If you missed out on the Rope Bowl Class at the Ohio’s Amish Country Quilt Festival with Maribeth Shreve, you are in luck! Maribeth is coming to us for a day of Rope Bowl Making. This is the newest rage! After you learn the basic skills, the sky's the limit. These make great gifts, bowls, trivets, hot pads, coasters and sew much more.
