We welcomed November with The Ohio Country Shop Hop, which is always a great event. It was wonderful to see so many of our friends and welcome new ones as well. One of the most fun things about this hop is that there were 12 participating shops and each one designed their own quilt, using the Rory fabric collection from Windham Fabrics.

Classes & Events

Elisa will be teaching her Mondo Bag With A Twist. This is more than a bag class! Together we will construct a Mondo Bag and add modifications that will enhance and take it to the next level. Elisa has made many versions, and along the way she has added features to improve and increase the function. She will also share finishing tips to give the bag a more professional look. If you have not taken a class with Elisa, you are missing out. She has so many great tips and suggestions to take your bag making to the next level.

November is full of great Bag Classes! Carol will be teaching the Day Tripper II By Annie. The focus of this class will be to learn how to fussy cut fabric to be showcased on the front of this bag. In addition, learn how to add a pocket with an accent strip to the back of this bag. This purse can be used as an over the shoulder or cross-body with the adjustable strap bag. It features a roomy zippered front pocket and an inside slip pocket. This Would make a great holiday gift.

Carol’s second bag is the very popular Zippy Bag by Sallie Tomato. This trendy cross body bag comes in two sizes and features a zippered top closure and 3 additional zippered pockets. The exterior can be made with quilting cotton, denim, linen, lightweight canvas or pro light cork.

Carol is doing another great by Annie Project - The Bowl Me Over 2.0. This is a two day event, December 5th and 6th. This fun-to-make bag features a classic bowler silhouette with easy-to-grab handles and an adjustable, detachable carrying strap.
