If you missed the Sewing Savvy Blocks in 2022, here is your chance to join Susan Pfaff for the 2023 Series. Master your sewing machine’s features and functions! In this block-of-the- month series, you will create a fun nine-block wall quilt, while mastering skills that you will use in all of your sewing projects. Each month, you will learn multiple practical and creative uses for featured sewing machine accessory feet, decorative stitches, needles, specialty threads, and more! You can also use your blocks as stand-alone mini-quilts, decorator pillows, tote bags, etc.! All makes and models of machines are welcome!

In the first Quarter you will see a variety of great bag classes with Carol such as the By Annie A Place for Everything, Stella Bag & Wallet, and the Margo Handbag.  Carol will also be offering her Kimberbell Clear Blue Tiles Class  Kimberbell Clear Blue Tiles are a complete system for quilting using your home embroidery machine. The stitching goes through all three layers of a quilt sandwich (top fabric, batting, and back fabric) with traditional, continuous quilting on both sides of your project. Plus, you can quilt borders and cornerstones using the tiles. This is a great technique and will help you finish up those unquilted items.  

We have a new embroidery program starting on the 30th of March.  Carol and Amanda will be hosting monthly OESD Stitch Parties.  These will be great classes for beginner embroiderers or anyone that wants to brush up on their machine embroidery skills.  The first month you will be making a customer key fob and a personalized Fabric Covered Birthday Card.  Kits will be included. Joanne will be hosting her first Sew Day March 29th. Join your friends for a day of sewing and fellowship. This is a self-guided sew day to give you space to work on your own projects, at your own pace. Whether you bring an old project to work on or start a new one, this is a great time to have fun, be productive, and meet new friends in the process. 

Joanne is also offering a new quilt using the Mini Quick Curve Ruler - Early Risers. Welcome Spring into your home by making tulips that can hang on the wall. In this class you will learn how to easily and accurately cut and sew curves using the Mini Quick Curve Ruler. Once you’ve made this adorable 37” x 47” quilt, you will have mastered the ruler and can take what you’ve learned and create any of the 16 amazing projects in the book. We will also discuss some of the other patterns in the book and the many quilting options for this quilt.
