Happy December ! I hope everyone is enjoying the holiday season. We had a great November here at the Ridge. Our 4th Berlin Grande Retreat was SEW much fun. Thank you to everyone who joined us for this Annual Retreat . Also, a huge “thank you” to our very special instructors, Janine Babich, Tami Pfiel, and Audra Rasnake. Thanks for sharing your talents with us! If you missed this year, we will be opening registration for 2024 shortly. We are excited to welcome Jessica Barrera of Sallie Tomato, Elisa Milano, Rhoda Beachy, and our returning guest, Janine Babich. The event registration will go live shortly as we launch our new website and the event/class shopping cart. Announcements will be shared on Facebook.

Our 2024 calendar is filling up fast. We have most of the details worked out for the Spring Extravaganza, which will take place March 19 - 21, 2024. This will be a full three days of fun. What a great Christmas Gift! Registration is open with an Early Bird Discount, but that discount ends 12/31/2023. We have a special deal for those who attended in 2023. First off, we have BERNINA Educator Sylvain Bergeron, who will host a Foot Frenzie session. Sylvain has a huge wealth of sewing knowledge and inspiration, and we know that you will love his passion and humor. Sylvain will keep you in stitches while you learn!

Enjoy a class with Amanda Murphy, of Amanda Murphy Designs. Amanda is a contemporary quilt and fabric designer and also a BERNINA Expert and Quilting/Longarm Spokesperson. During this session, each person will experience the BERNINA Sit Down Machines and have the opportunity to test drive the BERNINA Q Series on a frame.

Kellie Rushing of OESD (Oklahoma Embroidery and Designs) is joining us again and we are so excited about that! Kellie has been an educator since 2019 and will wow you with all the amazing OESD products and designs. Kellie has a special project for us - exclusive to our event!

Have you heard about the exciting new features of the BERNINA 790 PRO? Classes & Events

We are finishing the year off with some great events. Join Kathy Shalda, BERNINA Event Team Member, as she guides us through two amazing days with the new BERNINA 790 Pro machine. Join us December 12th and 13th for the Sew Like A Pro Event. During this event, there will be gifts and special event pricing for the Classroom Demo Machines. We have just a few spots left, so register today!

For our last class of 2023, Elisa is offering her How To Copy A Garment Without Taking It Apart. In this class, you will learn how to copy and create a pattern for your favorite garment without taking it apart. This class will focus on basic pattern drafting techniques and strategies. The best part of this class is the satisfaction of drafting a pattern that you know you will like and know will fit! Class is December 15th, 2023.

Upcoming Special Events for 2024 - SAVE the Dates!

BERNINA Stitchwise Sew Like A Pro is back with Sandra Swick February 20th and 21st. Join Sandra for a full two day event sewing on the new BERNINA 790 Pro. Learn all the new features of this great new machine.

Sewing Savvy Block of the Month will restart on January 16th, 2024. Master your sewing machine’s features and functions! In this block-of-the-month series, you will create a fun nine-block crazy patch wall quilt, while gaining skills that you will use in all of your sewing projects. Each month, you will learn multiple uses for featured sewing machine feet, decorative stitches, needles, specialty threads, and more! All models of machines are welcome

Runway at the Ridge is back! Join us on September 14th for this Red Carpet Affair that includes a runway set up for participants to “strut their creative stuff." There are six categories in which to participate, celebrity judges, and great prizes. Look for more details in January.

Serger Savvy Series with Elisa (formerly known as Serger Club) will begin February 16th. We are thrilled to offer our 2024 Serger Savvy Series for Serger Owners at the Ridge. This series will be divided into three classes over the course of three months, during which time you will continue to learn, share your talents, and enjoy wonderful, serging fellowship. We will also be offering more throughout the year! All makes and models of sergers are welcome.

Our Longarm Department continues to grow! In September, we welcomed Maggie Moore to the CRS Team. Maggie will be a Longarm Specialist and Educator and she can also provide Edge to Edge Longarm Machine Quilting. Stop by and say “Hello to Maggie”.
