It’s time for the 5th Annual Ohio’s Amish Country Quilt Festival. (September 8th to 10th) This show is full of vendors, classes and an unbelievable display of beautiful quilts.   Our quilt show will include the 2022 Hoffman Quilt Challenge - In the Meadows and Sew We Never Forget the 9/11 World Trade Center Memorial Quilts plus many quilts from Ohio quilters.  The Vendor Mall and Quilt Show are included in your entry fee.  Also included is an Old Fashioned Bed Turning, and 3 Trunk Shows, Teri Tope - A Girl with a Checkered Past and a Future in Pieces, Corey Yoder - Coriander Quilts and Joyce Hughes - My Journey into Quilting.  We look forward to seeing you at the Mt. Hope Event Center for the Quilt Festival!

Let’s talk about our upcoming classes! Carol will be merrily teaching the “Merry Christmas Stocking Class”  These treasured stockings are stitched out on your embroidery machine. Next, Carol will get you ready for Fall with the Kimberbell Harvest Table One-Day Embroidery Event At this Kimberbell one-day machine embroidery event, you will create up to six seasonal projects for your autumn celebrations. First, stitch a Harvest Linen Table Runner with pumpkins, acorns, and lovely leaves of Applique Glitter and then make four coordinating Napkin Rings in a single hooping! Attendees will receive blanks, designs, and sentiments to create four Linen Napkins. Stitch the acorn napkin while at the event, then go home with maple leaf, oak leaf, and pumpkin appliques to stitch later!

Susan Pfaff is back on September 20th, with the Sewing Savvy Block of the Month - You’ll love the techniques in this month's block! First, easily join two pieces of fabric with the look of hand-sewn fagoting or bridging by machine! This traditional technique uses an assortment of decorative stitches and creates a delicate space between the fabrics. Then, you will learn a technique to create a fun fringe that will amaze you!   

Do you have the BERNINA Stitch Regulator and need some help? Join Ellen for a Stitch Regulator Class. Ellen is offering two sessions - AM or PM.  During this class, you will take a look at the 3 soles and learn about the 2 BSR modes. You will also have the opportunity to try the new ruler work attachment that is compatible with the BERNINA BSR. This is a FREE class for anyone who purchased a machine from Chestnut Ridge Sewing ($30 if machine purchased elsewhere). Call to register for this September 13th class.

We end the month with a gorgeous Christmas Bargello Tree Skirt with Joanne Gwinn.  You will use bargello panels to create this intricate design that will add a delightful accent to your Christmas Tree. This is a two session class, September 29th and October 19th, which gives you plenty of time to finish this beautiful addition to your Christmas decor. 

October is shaping up to be just as busy as September. Watch for information on special events such as the October 5th StitchWise Smart Serging BERNINA Academy. Where you will explore decorative cover/chainstitching, inserting piping, flatlocking, rolled hem, and much more. On October 6th during the StitchWise Savvy Stitching BERNINA Academy you will explore computerized quilting, decorative couching, and multi-directional stitching. You will create one project in each of these classes with BERNINA Event Team Member Sandra Swick while using top of the line BERNINA machines. Are you already a BERNINA machine owner?
