Wow, Spring is in full swing and things at the Ridge are really starting to get busy.  We are super excited to welcome Krista Moser for 3 days of quilting fun. The room is ready and we are off and running.  Stay tuned for pictures of our great event.

Carol and Betty are also offering our OESD School of Embroidery Embroidering on T Shirts.  This class will give you the confidence you need to start adding embroidery to your own garments.  Turn a simple rounded or scooped neck T-Shirt into a beautiful embroidered garment  Agan, this is a perfect class for our new machine owners and anyone looking to brush up on their embroidery skills.  Learn about the best toppers and stabilizers, and leave wearing a new top!!  

Looking to brighten up your home with a Spring Table Runner?  Carol has the perfect class for you.  Bring the look of an English garden to your table. This beautiful design is from our good friend Janine Babich, “Field of Flowers” Table Runner.  You will learn some basic machine piecing and make beautiful 3 dimensional daisies .  This is a two part class and just sew much fun!

Another part of our renovation will include an additional classroom.  Betty will have more room for her Top of the Line Machine Training and Software Classes.  Betty will be offering the BERNINA Community Studio Machine Made Tapestry on May 13th.  These are awesome one day workshops from BERNINA.  This month you will get to play with felting and free motion couching.  This is a fun mix of techniques. 

Elisa is keeping our sergers buzzing.  We had a fantastic Serger Event last month with Sandra of Bernina.  We are so excited for all the new machine owners.  If you missed that event, we will be offering that 2 day event again October 21st and 22nd.  But, you don’t have to wait.  Come to class and take a spin on our new BERNINA L8 Series machines.  May 10th, join Elisa for her Garment Construction Basic Class.  This is a two day class in which you will learn the basics of garment construction and work to complete a lounge top and bottom.

As always we offer a great day of “Sit N Sew”  This has turned into such a fun monthly event.  We are seeing such great projects coming out of the closet and leaving finished.  We have help for all your sewing needs, quilting, embroidery and serger.  Just let us know what you will be bringing to class.  Sew grab your UFO’s and join us.

Our next Sew Along project has been determined and will start that in early June. We’ll be making Homespun, which can be made using fat quarters, yardage, or scraps. The pattern has multiple size options as well as two different layout options, but you know that Joanne always adds a few of her own too. Please note, we have postponed our BERNINA Events - No Small Thing and Creative Quilting to August 5th and 6th.  We will be offering these classes and celebrate our Grand Opening of the BERNINA Q-Series Showroom.

Lastly, we will be closed on Monday May 31st to celebrate Memorial Day with our family and friends.  Stay safe!

Note - if you are looking at our June schedule. We will remain open during construction, but the class schedule will be light, as the construction dust will be flying.
