BERNINA LONGARM RENTAL

Upon completion of the Longarm/Q Series Certification Class, you may rent time on our BERNINA Longarm Machines.  (includes BERNINA Q-matic, upon request) 

Rental is $25 an hour for our Frame Model and $20 an hour on our Sit-Down.  Upon registering for your first hour (non-refundable), you have reserved the remainder of the day. Payment for the balance of hours ($25/$20 per hour) is due upon ending your time. (After the first two hours, your time will be prorated by the quarter-hour.)

Bring your completed quilt top and backing, squared and ready to quilt. You will select and purchase your batting from Chestnut Ridge Sewing. Thread is provided and included in the rental fee.

Certification Instructor will be present during your rental time to monitor the Q-Series machines.

For working with the Q Series Frame, quilters must purchase a set of Supplemental Leaders from Chestnut Ridge $40.00 per set.  (these can be reused)

• Backing - CRS has various 108” backings 

Backing must be prepared with these considerations:

1) If pieced, the seam allowance must be ½” width.

2) The piecing seam runs horizontally across the quilt back.

3) The pieced seam is pressed open.

4) All manufacturer selvedges are trimmed off.

5) The backing is squared and trimmed to 10” overall larger than your quilt top (5” larger on all four sides).

$15.00 for Chestnut Ridge to piece backings (per seam)
