How many times have you spent time sewing garments for yourself only to be discouraged with the finished project that doesn’t fit?
Many of us have learned fitting and alteration methods that fail us, are frustrating or are not consistent. This class will involve one-on-one instruction regarding an easy method to approach fitting for yourself that will bring back the joy to sewing.

Pattern: Recommended pattern for class is the Vernon Shirt by Cashmerette Patterns. The pattern is available for sizes 12-32 and includes cup sizes C to H. A “full bicep” sleeve option is available as well. Pattern will be available for purchase in class. Call store for pricing.

Pre-Class Instructions:
Please bring to class a shirt/blouse that you like, and the fit is good. We will use these to compare and achieve fit on our test garments.
Do not cut out your pattern in advance. We will review your measurements and plan out a strategy to cut out a garment that works the best for you.
Wear a camisole or tank top to class. We will be taking measurements and want them to be accurate.

Items to bring to class:
Sewing machine (you must understand how to operate your machine and have basic sewing skills)
Muslin, enough to make a test garment - 2 yards recommended
Scissor, seam ripper, measuring tape, sharpie marker, ruler, thread, and sewing needles
A basic fitted blouse pattern that you like
Bring a blouse from your closet that fits you. This will be used as a basis for fitting and your preferences on ease and lengths.
