Tired of throw rugs that never quite fit your space—or fall apart after a few washes? Frustration solved! Join Tami Pfeil and discover the fun of creating a quilted “floor canvas”. In this class, you’ll step outside the traditional quilt box to make a rugged, washable mini raw-edge appliqué quilt designed for underfoot.
Perfect for beginners and seasoned quilters alike, this smaller-scale project lets you practice sewing with sturdy canvas fabrics while learning an “illustrate with thread” technique to add dimension and detail. You’ll also pick up plenty of helpful canvas tips along the way.
Bonus — this is a bernette 08 event, so there's no need to bring your machine! Instead, you’ll sew on the b08 Straight Stitch machine and experience this powerhouse for yourself. With a speed of 1,600 stitches per minute, it's one of the fastest domestic sewing machines on the market.
These festive floor quilts—based on classic HandBEHG Felts holiday designs—are perfect for kitchens, entryways, mudrooms, and more, and make wonderful gifts, too.
